  • The new Series TLI Tank Level Indicator from W.E. Anderson provides quick, "seeing-is-believing" assessment of liquid levels in tanks. The instrument, which has double-wall construction, is easily mounted vertically in a piping system, and is available with either 1/2" or 3/4" NPT fittings. Mounted horizontally, it can also be used as a sight flow tube.
  • Introducing Large Diameter Gage from L.S. Starrett Company. This ultra-light large diameter gage is used as an indicating snap gage by setting the indicator to zero with the set master and reading the part size variations on the indicator.
  • Blue Mountain Quality Resources has added two Metrology seminars to their training schedule, "Managing Measurement Uncertainty" and "Quality Assurance to ISO Guide 25/17025." Facilitated by Dr. Henrik S. Nielsen, these courses will be held in Chicago, IL on April 30-May 1, 2001 and May 2-3, 2001 respectively. Both of these classes are designed for calibration professionals, metrologists, quality and manufacturing engineers, quality and metrology managers, auditors and assessors, quality system, developers.
  • Stratagene of La Jolla, Calif. announced the launch of a major new product, the Mx4000™ multiplex quantitative PCR instrument system. The Mx4000 system is the world's first instrument designed specifically for multiplexed QPCR applications. The Mx4000 system supports all available fluorescent chemistries and is intended to create a new standard for data analysis and flexibility.
  • As central robotic servicing of machining cells has become more prevalent, it has created the need to develop a gaging system that will inspect the parts for a critical feature or two after the machining operation, and keep the machining process under control at the same time. Edmunds Gages' new Robot-Loaded Breakaway Pedestal Gage meets this challenge.
  • CyberMetrics Corporation and Tescina, Inc. have entered a joint agreement to sell DataGet hardware with the GAGEtrak PDA. CyberMetrics is a leading supplier to Fortune 500 companies, such as GM, Ford, Boeing, Motorola, NASA, and the U.S. Military. Integrating DataGet hardware with their existing GAGEtrak software allows customers to save time tracking gauges.
  • Blue Mountain Quality Resources, Inc. announces the release of Calibration Manager PDA, the newest member of the popular Calibration Manager® product line. Calibration Manager PDA enables seamless communication between PDAs running the Palm OS® and the Calibration Manager software, making the collection of field calibration data easy, efficient, and paper-free.
  • Agilent Technologies Inc. has introduced the Agilent 4288A capacitance meter for high-speed testing of ceramic capacitors on the production line. The Agilent 4288A delivers the highest throughput and highest measurement accuracy of any available capacitance meter, and is 30 percent faster than the Agilent 4278A, the current industry leader.
  • The Honeywell Precision Barometer (HPB) has been introduced as an outstanding value to instrument builders that require accurate and stable barometric measurements in real-world conditions. Designed with an extremely rugged construction, the HPB can operate in severe humid, vibration, thermal and mechanical shock environments. Its small size, low weight (5 ounces, 142 gms) and software versatility allows easy retrofit or design into many new applications.
  • Pinpoint Laser Systems is introducing a revolutionary new 2 dimensional Microgage for precision measuring, machine alignment, calibration, and other demanding industrial applications. With a precision of 0.001 inch the Microgage 2D can be used for measuring in two axial directions at the same time - even when the laser and receiver are separated by 70 feet or more.
  • TA 2100 from MIL-RAM Technology, provides Self-Calibration, Labor-Free auto self-calibration adjusts span monthly based on life curve.
  • Imada Motorized test Stands offer consistent and reliaable testing. Our Basic or Auto Cycle models are available in Standard, High, and Low speeds. They accept any of the standard range Imada force gauges and special attachments. Optional dynamic and static distance meters are also available.
