New Mahr Federal 40 EX Digital Micrometer

The new 40 EX Digital Micrometer from Mahr Federal is an affordable precision measurement hand tool with electronic features and performance comparable to more expensive competitive models. It provides all the advantages of a digital instrument, including direct reading, high resolution, English/metric switchable units, and electronic outputs to data recorders and other electronic equipment.

The 40 EX can measure to within .000050"/0.001mm. The flat anvil micrometer is equipped with a ratchet hand drive and spindle lock. The spindle screw has a .040" pitch which provides fast closing action with excellent measurement repeatability. Four models are available for measuring up to 4"/100mm parts.

The digital micrometer can be "zeroed" anywhere within the range of the barrel, or used with a pre-set so that the tool will provide comparative readings. The exclusive Mahr Connect feature allows users to select their preferred electronic output-RS232 or Digimatic-with the appropriate cable.
