Max Machinery, Inc.'s Series 720 Portable Calibrator Through the combination of a Max precision, positive displacement flow meter with a multi-point linearized display, Max Machinery, Inc. has developed the series 720 portable calibrator. The Model 720 is incredibly easy to use. The calibrator can be plumbed in-line like a product-under-test or via quick disconnect fittings anywhere in the customer's flow loop. The customer may recertify their working meter by either comparing the display of the Series 720 with their existing display, or use the Series 720's "unit under test" display to develop a linearity curve for their meter. The Series 720 will work with any hydrocarbon based liquid and is not sensitive to changes in liquid viscosity, density or flow profile. There is no need for flow strengtheners, temperature or pressure compensation or viscosity correction curves. The Max meter's precision, piston displacements are fixed for the life of the meter and the K-Factor does not drift over time. The 720 Series Calibrator is a dependable transfer standard which is NIST traceable and its compact packaging makes it easy to ship out for recertification as part of your ISO 9000 or Q.A. schedule. The Model 720-241 (shown above) has an operating range of 0.5 to 190 liters per minute. Other sizes are also available.
