MARCH
2004 PRODUCT NEWS
- INTERFACE
Platinum series load cells are the best in class and include the
following features - Handcrafted excellence for the most demanding calibration
requirements, Tension and compression in one unit, .005% nonrepeatability
and more.
- Agilent
Technologies' Right Tools CD offers quick, easy access to test and
measurement instruments. Agilent Technologies Inc. announced an updated
Right Tools CD that provides dynamic product comparison tables, advisors
and demos on Agilent digital multimeters, function generators, oscilloscopes,
frequency counters, power supplies, and software and connectivity.
- Gage's Test Fuel
Division offers its customers a battery of calibration
fluids to test viscosity and flow characteristics in engine, fuel
delivery, and other automotive fluid applications.
- Fluke's
new digital temperature and humidity logger, the Model 5020A Thermo-Hygrometer,
provides ultra-accurate recording of environmental conditions in critical
locations such as calibration and research labs, pharmaceutical and
chemical storage areas, and many medical environments.
- The T-VAL,
from EDL, Inc., is a small, portable field unit for the testing
and calibration of immersion or insertion sensors. Calibrations can
be performed without the need to remove or disconnect the sensor under
test, making the T-VAL excellent for testing sensors that are inaccessible
or difficult to reach.
- Accurate and precise
calibration is now available from ARTEL for automated liquid handling
equipment for use with 1, 8, 12, or 96 channels. ARTEL, specialists
in quality assurance systems for laboratory liquid delivery instrumentation,
has developed a multi-channel volumetric verification
system (MVS™) for calibrating automated liquid handlers.
- Many of the topics
listed in the Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) Body of Knowledge
are presented in this comprehensive book, The
Metrology Handbook by Jay Bucher, which serves as an excellent
reference to prepare for the certification exam.
- A number of laboratory
metrology seminars will be offered by the NIST Weights and Measures
Division during 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. Descriptions of each course,
a schedule for 2004 thru 2006, and a sign-up application form are available
at NIST.
- The FCS-8(A) Portable
Flow Calibration System from Aerospace Control Products, Inc. allows
you to reduce costs by giving you the technology needed to calibrate/verify
production flow meters in house.
- Metronics,
Inc. has introduced "Gage Chek", a unique, advanced, yet easy-to-use
gage amplifier that provides gaging solutions for many manufacturing
applications.
- Dwyer Instruments,
Inc., is announcing the release of its new Series
477A Handheld Digital Manometer, a highly accurate differential
pressure sensor that offers a 0.1% full scale accuracy on air ranges
from 20" w.c. up to 100 psid.
- Precision Measurements
has just introduced the EL-1000 series of thermal
converters manufactured with the company's most advanced high-accuracy
vacuum thermocouple. The design substantially reduces the AC/DC transfer
errors. The series EL-1000 thermal converters are designed for measuring
AC current and voltages up to 1mhz.
- Malvern
Instruments has begun a new and extended program of free web seminars
that will run throughout 2004 that cover a wide range of particle characterization
issues and rheology presentation.
