- TEGAM,
Inc., a longtime producer of RF Power Transfer Standards, has added
new wider frequency range feedthrough and terminating standards to this
product line with the addition of the F1130 & M1130 that measures RF
power in the 100 kHz to 18 GHz frequency range, and the F1135 & M1135
that measures within the 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz frequency range.
- The New
Digimar(r) CX2 family of digital height gages from Mahr Federal
is a series of motorized, programmable height measuring systems which
offer a combination of features and performance previously available
only in a higher price range. With prices now starting at $3,000, the
CX2 line of height gages is well suited for both gage lab and production
measurement use.
- The Vaisala
HUMICAP Humidity and Temperature Transmitter Series HMT330 is designed
for demanding industrial applications where stable measurement and wide
customization possibilities are important.
- NAPT
(National Association for Proficiency Testing) is pleased to announce
the addition of their newest Interlaboratory Comparison (ILC), NAPT-E-S-723B,
which is now ready for circulation. The E-S-732B is a Fluke 732B 10v
DC reference standard. The purpose for this test is to demonstrate technical
competence in characterizing a 10V reference with measurement uncertainty
in the 0.1 ppm range.
- Brookfield provides
a MS-Excel® spreadsheet that can be used to perform a calibration
check on your Brookfield Viscometer/Rheometer. Included are a calibration
table, graph, and troubleshooting tips.
- IMPAC Infrared,
a member of MIKRON Infrared and specialists in non-contact thermometry,
have made available a 78 page Pyrometry
Handbook. This handbook was created with the intent to reassure
the user, and thus instill in him or her the confidence to use pyrometric
measurement.
- The latest ISA
Training Institute catalog contains complete course descriptions,
distance education options, training location details, and much more
to help the automation professional plan their training and continuing
education needs.
- Fluke
Corporation announces major upgrade of 710 Series Process Calibrators
including temperature, pressure, and volt/mA process calibrators.
The 700 series includes
the 712 RTD temperature calibrator, 714 thermocouple calibrator, 715
volt/mA calibrator, and the 717 and 718 pressure calibrators.
- The National Institute
of Standards and Technology (NIST) is distributing a free Spanish-language
CD-ROM providing training for the calibration of mass standards
used for testing commercial measuring equipment.
- Pinpoint
Laser System's Microgage Universal Alignment Kit enables maintenance
personnel and production teams to check and align their machine tools
for improved operation and efficiency. The Microgage Universal Alignment
Kit is compact, precise, and affordable so that manufacturers can keep
their lines running at peak performance and minimize costly down times.
- A number of laboratory
metrology seminars will be offered by the NIST Office of Weights and
Measures between 2005 and 2007. A description of each course is
available on their Internet site. The duration of all courses (unless
otherwise noted) is one week, with the exception of the Basic Mass,
Length, and Volume seminar for States, which is two weeks.
