• Bios International's new Met Lab line of precision, portable calibration standards now features the DryCal ML- 800, the world's most accurate piston prover. The ML- 800 brings mercury-free, high-speed, ±0.15% accuracy to your organization.
• Without needing the oil baths that conventional standard resistors require, national standard institutes and local calibration laboratories in Japan use Alpha Electronic's Standard Resistors both for primary and secondary standards. Alpha's Standard Resistors are available in 5 models to fit a wide range of applications.
• NIST's 30th Annual Time & Frequency Metrology Seminar will introduce new lectures in optical clocks, phase-locked loop optimization, oscillator and amplifier arrays, active PM-noise reduction techniques, low-noise frequency synthesis using femtosecond lasers, and chip-scale atomic clocks. This training seminar is a must for planners, managers, scientists, engineers, laboratory technicians, and educators involved in the use of time and frequency systems.
• Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the FSMR Measuring Receiver, the industry's first single-instrument solution for calibrating all key parameters of signal generators and fixed and variable attenuators. The FSMR eliminates the need to cable together multiple, single-function instruments or a spectrum analyzer, power meter, and PC. The FSMR is an excellent choice for use by manufacturers with large numbers of signal generators or attenuators, as well in military and commercial metrology laboratories.
• Emerson Process Management's 375 Field Communicator now supports 82 additional FOUNDATION fieldbus devices and 50 more HART instruments for maintenance purposes. Introduced just one year ago, it is already compatible with more than 800 HART and fieldbus instruments from a variety of manufacturers.
• B&K Precision Corporation, one of the industry's leading suppliers of test and measurement products, announced the immediate availability of the second member of to its family of high-power, low-noise DC power supplies. The Model VSP4030 High Power Switching DC Power Supply utilizes modern switch mode technology to produce a high-power, low-noise switching supply that costs around 25 percent less than linear supplies with the same power.
• JOFRA IPI indicators from Ametek Calibration Instruments bring together the ease of an analog gauge with the accuracy and easy-to-read display of a digital calibrator. You can perform a calibration locally without returning the IPI unit to the manufacturer. All you need is an accurate pressure reference.
