• Fluke's Hart Scientific Division announces new triple point of water cells. Each of these new cells contains distilled ocean water which has an isotopic composition that is nearly identical to the international standard Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water or VSMOW.
• GE Industrial, Sensing launched its latest calibrator, the DPI 880. This four-in-one hand-held device provides multi-level, cross-parameter measurements, allowing users to accurately record their measurements 15 to 50% faster than before, with a level of accuracy not equaled in this category.
• Guildline Instruments is pleased to announce the release of the automatoR, an Electronically Controlled Resistance Box. Available in three models, this versatile device allows a cost-effective and programmable solution to traditional decade boxes and can be used wherever accurate resistance values are required.
• The humidity calibrator HUMOR 20 developed by E+E is the ideal reference instrument for the reproducible, and documentable requirements that are becoming more and more important in a humidity calibration system and is traceable to international standards.
• Practical Instrument Electronics (PIE) has come out with revolutionary features that help the technician do their job better and also save time. These features are excellent tools for the technician as a trouble shooting tool.
• Obtain the IDW 2005 CD-ROM of the more than 20 presentations and workshops from the May 2005 dimensional measurement event focusing on topics that included laser technology, multisensor coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), surface analysis, thread gaging and more.
• Keithley Instruments, Inc. has released a tutorial CD titled Interactive Test & Measurement Troubleshooting Guide: How to Avoid Common Measurement Errors." The free CD lets users explore the symptoms and causes of common errors associated with low-level signals, such as low voltage, low current, low resistance, high resistance, and voltage from a high resistance source measurement.
• Techniques and Topics in Flow Measurement, written by Frank E. Jones, presents coherent and straightforward discussions of methods, techniques, applications, and background material for topics in fluid flow.
• Designed with the cleanroom in mind, the PBTS1A from MKS Instruments is a portable single-channel high accuracy pressure standard that is designed for in situ applications.
