Resources for the Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) Program
American Society for Quality's (ASQ) Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) program is designed to be a peer recognized certification program that provides authentication as to a level of knowledge and experience associated with the duties and responsibilities of a mid-level calibration technician per the consensus expectations of hundreds of calibration / metrology professionals.

There are resources available to assist in preparing for the CCT exam.

  • The Metrology Handbook, by Jay Bucher, presents many of the topics listed in the CCT Body of Knowledge (BOK) and serves as an excellent reference to prepare for the CCT exam. Available in May 2004 from ASQ's bookstore . 500 pages. ISBN # 0873896203.
  • Quality Council of Indiana produces and sells certification materials, such as the CCT Primer -- 1st edition, 530 pages, 400 Q+A's. The CCT Primer, Solution Text and question CD are now available for sale. Visit www.qualitycouncil.com/cct_p.asp to view the table of contents and a sample section.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) provides the Body of Knowledge (BOK). The topics in the Body of Knowledge (BOK) include additional detail in the form of subtext explanations and the cognitive level at which the questions will be written. This information will provide useful guidance for both the Exam Development Committee and the candidate preparing to take the exam.
ASQ also provides a list of References that cover the parts of the Body of Knowledge. ASQ Certification Board does not endorse any one particular reference source.
