Exam Information for the Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) Program
American Society for Quality's (ASQ) Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) program is designed to be a peer recognized certification program that provides authentication as to a level of knowledge and experience associated with the duties and responsibilities of a mid-level calibration technician per the consensus expectations of hundreds of calibration / metrology professionals.

Certification can be obtained by meeting prerequisites (documented evidence of minimum education/training/experience) and successful completion of the CCT exam. Visit ASQ's CCT Requirement page to learn more about the prerequisites.

Each certification candidate is required to pass a written examination that consists of multiple-choice questions that measure comprehension of the Body of Knowledge. The Calibration Technician examination is a one-part, 125-question, four-hour exam and is offered in the English language only.

CCT Examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and December, by local ASQ sections and international organizations. All examinations are open-book. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials. Use of reference materials and calculators is explained in the seating letter provided to applicants. Try out your knowledge by looking at some sample exam questions. You may register for the CCT exam by visiting ASQ's CCT Registration Page.
